The Courtyard Barns
The Courtyard Barns
We are in the picture with our children Freya and Edward and our tennis ball obsessed dog Barley. We are a farming family and feel so lucky to be able to share with you the land and beautiful buildings that we call home.
We run the wedding venue business so if you get in touch it is us you will be speaking to and dealing with. We like to get to know our couples and we are do our very best to put everyone art ease and to be there to support you in the run up to your big day.
We absolutely love hosting weddings and we can't wait to meet you and show you around our lovely old barns and the beautiful courtyard here at Church Farm!
Church Farm is a hidden gem! Set in 100 acres of lovely Leicestershire countryside we are in an elevated position with far reaching views but we cant be seen from the road and most people have no idea that our lovely barns and courtyard even exist!
We run a small mixed farm growing wheat, barley and oats and grass for our beef cattle.
The Barns and Courtyard
Once the beating heart of Church Farm, the old stone buildings and courtyard are full of character that can only come from centuries of use.
The unusual dovecote gives the farm a French chateaux feel and along with the other barns and church makes a unique and special backdrop for your big day.
The ironstone walls almost glow in the sunshine and the South facing courtyard is very sheltered making it a lovely outdoor space whatever the weather!
History
The buildings at Church Farm date back to the 16th Century and are just a few feet away from the 12th Century village Church of St Michael and All Angels. Bill's family have lived and worked on the farm and cared for the land and buildings over five generations.
